JOB SUMMARY: Maintain, manage and operate an efficient beverage operation. Exhibit leadership qualities and organizational skills. Assist in the decision making process for Casino operations as requested by the General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of five (5) years experience in the beverage industry and experience in supervisory management preferred. Must be knowledgeable in the proper methods of beverage service and etiquette and social customs. Able to direct service personnel to obtain effective results. Must have working knowledge of math and basic computer skills.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke. Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff and management. Must be able to exhibit a professional manner when dealing with difficult situations with staff and guests. Must display excellent problem solving skills in regards to operational and personnel problems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Manage all beverage personnel, hiring and training employees to provide excellent guest service. Keep personnel records and recommend salary adjustments. Responsible for the economical operation of the department. Schedule all personnel and implement training programs. Keeping a current liquor license, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory and reordering all supplies, and managing budgets. Keep cost account and assign prices to beverage items as will result in net profit. Handle and solve any concerns or conflicts with staff or disgruntled guests. Help in maintaining a clean working environment.
Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory training. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
