We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care and support to clients with special needs. Your presence and services should provide compassionate, knowledgeable, cultural, sensitivity and developmentally appropriate care to people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
For this role, the nurses are responsible for recognizing patients' symptoms, taking measures within their scope of practice to administer medications, providing other measures for symptom alleviation, and collaborating with other professionals to optimize patients' comfort and families' understanding and adaptation.
The goal is to assist individuals with a disability and/or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function. The LPN assists clients in adapting to an altered lifestyle, while providing a therapeutic environment for client's and their family's development.
