DescriptionNew Business Development – Hybrid Campbell Marketing & Communications is a dynamic and fast-paced agency specializing in public relations, communications, social media, marketing, and event management. We are currently seeking a motivated New Business Development professional to join our dedicated team.

You will also have the chance to cultivate client relationships, drive our organization’s business growth and expand our research initiatives.
General Summary:Contributes to meaningful growth and diversification of the company through the successful identification of new prospects and business opportunities. Responsible for uncovering need-based opportunities, getting invited in for meetings, developing solutions, and closing profitable deals in accordance with organizational strategic goals.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identifies and participates in networking opportunities.
  • Consistently builds and maintains a pipeline of prospects.
  • Initiates, develops, and cultivates contacts via phone, e-mail, etc. – to build key relationships.
  • Aggressively pursues, sets, and manages meetings with prospects.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, tradeshows, and networking events.
  • Identifies relevant prospect needs and develops unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Spearheads the creation of important presentations.
  • Works closely with practice leaders to develop appropriate solutions and pricing.
  • Closes deals and manages the post-sell process.
  • Prepare and present business development reports and forecasts to the senior management team.
  • Adheres to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and all other company policies, procedures, and processes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Minimum of 10 years showing documented success as a new business development professional.
  • Experience selling multi-competency integrated marketing communications services such as, creative, research, events, shows, PR, social media, etc.
  • Written and verbal communication skills necessary for networking, prospecting, and motivating and closing sales.
  • Analytical skills necessary to identify prospect needs and challenges and make recommendations.
  • Interpersonal communication skills are necessary to build and maintain effective relationships with prospects.

Additional Information:
  • Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination is required for this position.
  • The person filling this role could come in as an Account Director or Vice President - based on experience.
  • The company is currently working on a flexible hybrid basis; some in-office days (Dearborn, MI) will be required at times.
  • Required to reside within two (2) hours’ drive of agency headquarters in Dearborn, MI.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required
Working Conditions:
  • Moderate travel required. May require weekend/evening hours.
