Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.

Responsible for assisting with the translation of business needs into application software requirements.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Possesses understanding of business processes and systems capability.
• Participates in developing and/or modifying requirements, business design specifications, user training and documentation.
• Research and documents business issues.
• Translates business requirements to technical staff to ensure that requirements are incorporated into system design.
• Tests and documents solutions.
• Serves as liaison between users of the software and technical staff.
• Business analyst – A liaison between the business and the platform team
• Captures business and user requirements (as stories for agile shops)
• Ensures requirements are understood, developed, tested, and delivered to specification
• Owns the relationship with project stakeholders to identify, prioritize, model, and document business, process, and data requirements
• Represents project stakeholders throughout planning, development, and release processes
• Works with the platform team to develop release estimates
• Supports the testing effort
• Works with stakeholders to drive adoption

Requirements:

• Requires a HS diploma or GED, 5 years of related health care experience that includes workflow design, data analysis, and/or systems automation and testing; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• BA/BS degree preferred.

Additional Details:

• Flexible, but traditional 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday (1-2 days a week in office) Tuesday required in office.
