Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervision: Direct and manage a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring they complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Maintenance Planning: Collaborate with the Facilities and Maintenance Manager to develop maintenance schedules, work orders, and preventive maintenance plans.
- Team Development: Train, coach, and develop maintenance team members to improve their skills and ensure a high level of competency within the team.
- Resource Management: Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure the completion of maintenance tasks on time and within budget.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote strict safety protocols and ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the repair, inspection, and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve maintenance-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of spare parts, tools, and supplies, and ensure their availability when needed for maintenance tasks.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance services, ensuring the quality and timely completion of work.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, and provide regular reports to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- Employee is standing, walking, bending, and stooping approximately 95% of the time.
- Employee is working without air conditioning in an area that can be extremely warm at times.
- Employee must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to move from machine to machine.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, tools, and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays, as needed.
- High school diploma or GED; a technical or trade school certificate is a plus.
- Proven experience in maintenance and at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
