Description
Job Summary: The CREDIT ANALYST works under the direction of the Credit Manager and plays a key role in the financial operations of the company. They are responsible for setting up new customer accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date account maintenance, and assisting the Credit Manager in optimizing departmental performance. The Credit Analyst conducts detailed credit analyses and assists in making informed decisions regarding credit limits and terms.
Responsibilities:
- Set up new accounts within one/two days, research within five days (credit references, bank reference, DNBi, etc.)
- Review and process credit authorizations as needed.
- Manage customer file maintenance/scanning customer files.
- Keep customer accounts complete and up to date.
- Review customer terms, upon request as needed.
- Complete and return customer credit references when requested from other vendors.
- Help with other misc. credit duties as needed.
- Make sure all contact with customers and K&M drivers is noted in the correct field.
- Perform various account maintenance. (i.e. Salesperson changes).
- Pull Monthly/Quarterly Reports to review credit line extension and credit portfolio information as required/requested.
- Research all customer questions and or complaints in a timely manner.
- Send out all invoice requests when needed.
- Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.
- Support company goals and uphold K&M Values.
- Level II Requirement - File UCC-1's.
- Level II Requirement - Review and renew UCC-1's, as needed when expiring with the state.
- Level III Requirement - Review accounts over $150K; provide recommendation to management.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, spreadsheets, and bookkeeping.
- Accurate Data Entry.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in a professional environment.
- Possess a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Ability to express ideas clearly both in written and oral communications.
- Ability to communicate, prioritize and organize effectively.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge and ability to use the following office equipment: computer, telephone, copier, fax, and calculator.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Satisfactory testing on entry level skills.
