- An integral part of creating and implementing a strategic communication program that supports SBH’s people and culture initiatives.
- Leads internal communication to ensure that all communication is relevant, compelling, connected to our Purpose and Values, aligned with cultural strategy, is of high quality, and easy to understand/act upon.
- Implements and cascades communication tailored to the right populations, working with internal partners.
- Reviews content for accuracy and completeness, and development of effective messaging for other functions.
- Works closely to support the SBH Inspires Foundation, sustainability, and Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging communications, including supporting Employee Resource Group leaders where necessary.
- Runs communication campaigns for HR-related activities, such as the performance review cycle, engagement surveys, and supporting new system or process changes.
- Helps manage the Corporate event calendar where needed
- Creates and leads Corporate communications, including Town Halls, and updates on major initiatives and events.
- Coordinates and collaborates with executive leaders on key communications.
- Prepares presentation materials, such as PowerPoint decks.
- Supports other companywide communication campaigns.
- Other duties as assigned
- Ideally but not essential, a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications or a related field.
- Relevant and progressive previous experience with internal communications, preferably that has included project management; specialty retail or similar industry preferred.
- Proven project management skills to deliver high-quality, complex projects and good attention to detail while working with ambiguity.
- Ability to work and connect with Executives and accurately interpret and relay their message, tone and personality.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web browsers.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design.

- Experience with task management and online communication technology preferred.

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work.
