Job Overview:

We are seeking skilled Fitters to join our team. The Fitter will be responsible for laying out cutting material and fitting metal components according to specifications using tools and equipment such as micrometers , hand tools, press brake machines, stick welding equipment, cutting torches and plasma cutters.

Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to determine the method and sequence of assembly.
- Fit and assemble structural frameworks and housings from materials such as angle iron, I-beams, and plate steel.
- Operate machinery including pipe threading machines and plasma cutting equipment.
- Perform stick welding to join metal components.
- Rig components for movement using cranes or other lifting equipment.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with codes and standards.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Fitter in metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in taking measurements using tools such as micrometers, hand tools, press brake machines, and pipe threading machines.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques including stick welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
