Position Overview:We are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Math Interventionist to join our team. If you love working with students to help them achieve academic success, this role is for you! As a Math Interventionist, you'll work closely with tier 3 students who need extra support in mathematics. You'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on their learning journey, helping them build confidence and skills in math.
What You’ll Do:
- Engage and Empower: Provide targeted math instruction to students in small groups or one-on-one settings.
- Customize Learning: Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to students' needs and progress.
- Monitor and Adjust: Use data to track student progress and adjust instructional strategies to ensure success.
- Collaborate: Work with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with classroom instruction.
- Grow Professionally: Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated with best practices in math intervention.
- Communicate: Keep parents and guardians informed about student progress and ways to support learning at home.
- Document: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and intervention strategies.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant field.
- Certification: Valid Michigan teaching certification required. (If out-of-state, obtain Michigan certification within 2 months of hire.)
- Experience: Proven experience in virtual teaching and curriculum development, especially in middle school education.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with digital educational platforms such as Edmentum and Seesaw.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Availability: Minimum 30 hours per week.
- Communication Pro: Engage and connect with students and parents through clear and effective communication.
- Organizer Extraordinaire: Plan and execute educational content with precision and efficiency.
- Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic virtual environment, adapting to new technologies and curriculum changes.
- Problem Solver: Identify challenges and develop effective, innovative solutions.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage your teaching schedule and deadlines.
- Compensation: Starting at $20.95 per hour, based on your qualifications and experience.
- Flexibility: Work from anywhere in the United States with a reliable internet connection. Primary work hours are from 9 AM to 3 PM EST, Monday through Friday, with additional flexible hours as needed.
