Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Assist with the talent acquisition process including recruiting, onboarding and orientation for both corporate and building employees and summer intern program.
• Maintain HRIS system, process new hires, transfers, terminations, reporting
• Administer new hire onboarding (draft offer letters, coordinate new hire orientation, enter new hire into Paycom, processes new hire paperwork).
• Plan and conduct new hire orientation.
• Oversee and process employee exits
• Maintain employee files to ensure proper documentation of forms and actions.
• Liaison with Payroll department to provide accurate information for weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing.
• Prepare PAF and maintain compensation sheets.
• Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, programs, employment verifications, tuition reimbursements etc.
• Assist Human Resources Manager with performance review program, including 90 day and annual performance reviews.
• Manage labor and compliance requirements including posting requirements, compliance database, as well as posting requirements within the HRIS.
• Assist Human Resources Manager with employee relations matters, workers compensation, medical accommodations.
• Assist in the planning and execution of learning and development activities to support the company’s needs and develop high-quality, high- performance workforce.
• Coordinate and assist with Company events.
• Assist Human Resources Manager in maintaining human resources policies, processes to ensure compliance with relevant state, city and local employment laws.
• Respond to COVID-19 employee matters to ensure the continued health and safety of employee populations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications, skills and abilities:

• Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field, Bachelors Degree preferred
• 3 to 6 years experience in human resources
• Fluency in Spanish language a plus
• Strong interest in Human Resources
• Working knowledge of Federal and New York State employment laws
• Excellent analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills
• Able to carry out multiple and diverse tasks concurrently
• Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise good judgement
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience of Paycom a plus
