gpac is Hiring a Transportation Sales Manager Near Dover, DE
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Drive revenue through coaching and developing new and existing sales reps
- Interviewing and training entry-level sales reps
- Assisting sales reps with account strategies to increase revenue
- Achieve satisfactory net revenue results and market share in relation to preset standards and industry trends
- Hold the team accountable for daily activity and results
- Ensuring employees maintain the highest level of integrity
- Coordinating the allocation of support staff to accounts with high volumes of business
- Monitoring sales reports
- Working with the Training department to help maintain and continuously enhance sales training programs
- At least 3-5 years prior experience working for a non-asset freight brokerage in a sales capacity preferred
- At least 3-5 years of sales management experience, preferably leading a team of 5
- Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, and motivate others
- Willingness to go above and beyond for our customers
- Experience working with vans, flatbeds, containers, warehousing, LTL, heavy haul, and specialized services.
- Strong negotiation skills - persuasiveness, aggressiveness, confidence
- Self-driven with a desire to succeed
- Ability to think creatively to find solutions
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain, transportation and logistics or similar field is a plus
