Universal Health Corporation is Hiring a Nurse Practitioner Near Dublin, VA

Universal Health is bridging the communication gap between SNFs and the medical group for quality care for patients. We are a medical practice group with a care model that holistically cares for patients physical, mental and spiritual needs. If you are a leader seeking to work with a dynamic and growing medical practice, this position is for you! We deliver exceptional results in post-acute and long-term care. This position will serve a facility in the Dublin, VA area.

As an APP with Universal Health, you will see 20-25 patients in a long-term care/skilled nursing facility. You will have a collaborating physician that will visit the building weekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality care for patients of the facility you are assigned. You will be at this facility Monday - Friday.
  • Duties will include speaking with patients about healthy lifestyle choices for their age, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses.
  • Create comprehensive documentation - Experience with PCC a plus!
  • Work together with the LTC facility staff to address the patient's needs, in collaboration with the physician
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain security of protected health information (PHI)
  • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, accountability and service in your interactions with your colleagues, patients, customers and family member's of the patients.

Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted NP/PA license in the state of North Carolina
  • DEA licensure in the state of North Carolina (or ability to obtain prior to date of hire)
  • Nurse Practitioner national board certification
  • Clinical background in geriatrics, hospital, emergency department or long term care highly preferred
  • Computer skills - knowledge of PCC (Point Click Care) preferred, not required
  • High level of integrity and ethics
  • Motivated, flexible and adaptable
  • Stellar communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with facility management
