Responsibilities
- Apply advanced techniques like phased array ultrasonics (PAUT), time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD), magnetic particle testing (MPT), eddy current testing (ECT), remote field testing (RFT), and other specialized methods.
- Carry out inspections on diverse components such as pipelines, pressure vessels, drilling equipment, and offshore platforms.
- Evaluate test results and interpret data to detect defects, discontinuities, or structural integrity concerns.
- Compile comprehensive inspection reports detailing the findings, recommending repairs or maintenance, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Ensure all activities adhere to industry standards (e.g., ASNT, API, ASTM) and regulatory requirements (e.g., API 510, API 570).
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to coordinate inspection schedules, interpret results, and implement corrective actions.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Level II, API certifications) are highly desirable.
- Several years of experience in advanced techniques, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in operating and interpreting results from advanced NDT equipment and software, coupled with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
