CARDIAC ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY CONSULTANTS is Hiring a Medical Biller and Coder Near East Syracuse, NY
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing procedures, coding systems, and terminology to ensure accurate and timely billing processes. **Responsibilities:** - Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors - Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies - Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe - Utilize medical billing software to process claims - Investigate and appeal denied claims - Maintain patient billing records and respond to patient inquiries regarding billing issues - Stay updated on healthcare regulations and compliance requirements **Experience:** - Proven experience in medical billing procedures - Familiarity with medical billing systems and software - Knowledge of DRG, ICD-10, ICD-9 coding systems - Understanding of medical terminology and coding practices - Experience in medical collections and reconciliations - Ability to interpret medical records accurately - Previous work in a medical office setting is advantageous This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment where attention to detail is crucial.
