Job DescriptionGrade UE06: £32,982 - £38,205 per annumCorporate Services Group / Finance DepartmentFull-time: 35 hours per weekOpen-ended: permanentWe are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with the ability to assist in the preparation of management accounts, financial forecasts and with a keen understanding of delivering financial analysis to support decision-making to ensure that financial information is accurate and prepared on a timely basis. This post is within the Finance Department of the Corporate Services Group and shall be based at Easter Bush.
In this role, you will be supporting the University's Academic and Professional Services communities by:
  • Preparing journals and management accounts.
  • Creating financial analysis and management information for both strategic and operational purposes, financial planning, budgeting and forecasting,
  • Checking and reconciling financial data to ensure it is accurate and processed according to University policy and procedures.
  • Supporting understanding of financial policy and procedure by liaising with staff across the Business areas.
Your Skills And Attributes For Success
  • HNC/HND or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline and relevant experience or broad experience acquired through on the job training and considerable on-the-job experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of finance policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
