Swedish Health Services is Hiring a Speech Language Pathologist Near Edmonds, WA

Description

Delivers speech language therapy services to predominantly adult inpatients and outpatients, and to select pediatric/adolescents. Provides indirect clinical guidance to staff, students and volunteers in the areas of communication, cognition, and swallowing by identifying patient needs and developing responsive programs. Upon physician referral, performs evaluations and develops and implements individual plans of care to maximize functional outcomes, reassessing treatment results, and actively participating in discharge planning. Strives to increase public awareness of communication and swallowing disorders by providing community and hospital staff education. Delivers all services in compliance with Swedish Medical Center standards, national and professional standards, state practice acts, and current accepted evidence-based practice.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.

  • Washington Speech Language Pathologist License upon hire.

  • 1 year Hospital-wide experience with speech, language, and cognitive communication disorders and dysphagia.

  • Diagnostic experience with MBS procedures.

  • Experience with MBS procedure.
