Centro San Vicente Family Clinic is Hiring a Grants Manager Near El Paso, TX

Job Summary:
The Grants Manager compiles research on new available funding opportunities and recommends to the Senior Leadership team those opportunities that most closely meet current organizational strategic priorities. The Grants Manager writes and/or coordinates compilation of grant applications and reports.

_ Essential Functions:_

  • Develops a plan and strategy for grant-writing activities based on organizational priorities.
  • Researches and identifies current and potential grant opportunities, requests for proposals, etc., meeting strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Develops working relationships with major grantors to establish specific understanding of grant requirements in order to determine feasibility and organizational, “fit”.
  • Establishes a complete understanding of programs, service, and needs of existing and potential clientele.
  • Develops, writes and produces complete proposals that are highly competitive, meeting specifications and timelines of grantor.
  • Coordinates grant writing activity with Senior Leadership.
  • Submits complete proposals for internal review in a timely manner and develop summaries for approval of the Board of Directors and other review bodies as needed.
  • Makes oral presentations summarizing proposals and provide responses to various review bodies.
  • Follows up and provides requested information on grant applications submitted for funding and communicate progress to Senior Leadership.
  • Monitors Contract compliance of all grant funded programs through tracking of financial and programmable indicators.
  • Makes recommendations to improve grant performance
  • Attends meetings as appropriate.
  • Receives and occasionally prepares program and financial reports and review before submission to funding agencies.
  • Coordinates grant audit budgets based on programmable needs in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Maintains regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and The Joint Commission regulations.
  • Attends annual review and performs departmental in-services.
  • Communicates and demonstrates the mission, ethics and goals of the facility.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to function independently, attends to detail, work under pressure, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to build working relationships with departmental managers and executive staff within the organizations to gain a clear understanding of operational and capital needs.
  • Excellent analytical and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to research and analyze data to present the information in a manner that supports funding to establish new programs and continue existing services.
  • Excellent knowledge of proposal submissions and fundraising process.
  • Ability to conceptualize and clearly articulate verbally and in writing the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organization.
  • A high level of creativity.
  • A high level of integrity and ethical standards that respects and upholds the value of proprietary and privileged information.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Background in fundraising, mass communications or public relations preferred.
  • Experience in Health Care and or with Federal Qualified Health Care Centers preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
