About us

Nanny Share Nursery is a licensed family child care home in El Sobrante providing a boutique care experience for a small group of infants and toddlers. We are especially committed to empowering families of young children by offering unique parenting resources in addition to ongoing childcare. We are modeled like a nanny share because of our concise daily hours, and we limit our enrollment to up to 4 infants and/or 6 toddlers at a time with one primary caregiver per age group and an assistant. We encourage hyper local enrollment to build community. Parents provide all food, milk, and snacks to ensure their preferences are met, and we provide complimentary diapers and linens. We adhere to state licensing regulations for operating a family child care home including background checks, certifications, and employment.

**Job Overview:**

Your role would be as the primary caregiver for up to 4 infants or 6 toddlers, and administrative work will be completed by the owner. We operate on-site child care M-Th, with variable staff development days Fridays, which can be remote.

**Responsibilities:**

- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum to stimulate children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth

- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play

- Conduct activities that promote physical, mental, and social development

- Monitor and document children's progress and behavior

- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development

- Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning

- Experience in infant care, childcare, babysitting, or nannying

Bonus Points

  • Being bilingual in a language other than English.

  • Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or RIE experience or familiarity
  • Musical or creative arts experience
  • CPR, Preventative Health and Safety, Mandated Reported Training within the past 2 years.

What will you do?

  • Day to day child routines
  • Greets children and parents/guardians in a professional and enthusiastic manner each day.
  • Take instructions from parents regarding each child's specific behavior and limitations.
  • Supervise and monitor the safety of children at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with in-home daycare regulations.
  • Cradles and cuddles infants / toddlers as needed.
  • Hygiene: assisting in diaper changing and/or potty training if a toddler cohort is presently enrolled.
  • Handling of infant feeding: leading prep and clean up of formula, breast milk, and infant food items.
  • Keep records of children's milestones, routines, and interests and communicate with parents daily.
  • Keep all areas accessible to children clean, orderly, and safe, as well as responsive to the social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development of children.
  • Provide basic housekeeping i. e. washing dishes, laundry, sweeping, etc.
  • Outdoor time: taking children out in a passenger wagon for outside time and making sure all the children are safe.
  • ProCare and Infant Sleep Logs: Logging children's day to day information about what they ate, if they napped, diapers, etc. Infants must be checked at intervals while sleeping.
  • Collaborate with Licensee owner: Feel confident and comfortable in a collaborative effort to maintain a joyful and effective child care environment.
  • Reports any suspicion of child abuse or neglect to the appropriate party for follow through.
