Description

Certified Power Train is in search of an individual to join our team as a Quality Control CMM Programmer / Inspector / Certified Weld Inspector. The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, teamwork, strong communication skills, and commitment to excellence, learning, and growth.

Requirements

• Interprets engineering drawings and specifications for writing CMM programs (Zeiss).

• Ensures accuracy of CMM programs to dimensional tolerances in relation to specified prints.

• Develops and maintains inspection programs with revision control within a database.

• Effectively sets up CMM (training on site possible).

• Completes first article inspection layout reports.

• Facilitates regular CMM maintenance programs and calibration activities.

• Assists and supports other employees and teams as needed.

• Perform inspections on machined parts and weld inspections.

• Accept or reject finished products as required.

• Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards.

• Accurately document inspection results.

• Maintain controlled document files in a timely and accurate manner.

• Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.

• Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action.

• Work with production team, engineering team, and quality control team to provide feedback to employees regarding production procedures.

• Perform detailed and accurate work.

• Follow direction, procedures, and instructions for all work assignments.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area and awareness of surroundings.

• Work independently and with others in a team environment.

• Experience with CMM equipment a plus.

Knowledge and Skills Needed

• CWI certified (Preferred) 

• High school diploma or GED.

• Strong communication, reading, counting, and math skills.

• Working knowledge of measuring instruments.

• Ability to pay close attention to detail and perform accurate work.

• 5 years Quality Control experience preferred.

• Ability to read mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• CWI- Certified Weld Inspector (Preferred)

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

• Quality inspection: 5 years (Preferred)

• CNC machine shop experience (preferred)
