Our client is a dynamic and growing company located in NY state seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Controller.

As a key member of our finance department, the Controller will play a crucial role in managing financial activities and providing strategic insights for the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
• Maintain the General Ledger
• Oversee the team responsible for AP/AR activities
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Supervise and mentor finance team members.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Play a key role in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation for external audits and liaise with auditors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• CPA designation is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
• Strong background in financial management, reporting, and analysis.
• Experience in manufacturing with start up experience preferred but not required.
• Proven track record of implementing and improving financial processes and controls.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work onsite.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
