WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You are a humble, tenacious, hands-on, and hungry sales professional. With sharp analytical skills and deep industry insights, you're not afraid to dive into challenges and make things happen with your team. As a proven leader in the CPG industry, you're poised to elevate our premium brand by expanding our distribution in US Food and mass market channels. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll shape our product portfolio and market strategy while leading a top-notch sales team to success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and Marketing team to refine the product portfolio, ensuring the best value proposition for premium retailers, US Food and mass channels.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of a new refrigerated indulgence set in partner stores, enhancing visibility and accessibility of Petit Pot products.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to expand distribution in the US Food and mass market channels.

Market Expansion:

  • Enhance existing relationships with key customers, including Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, Publix, Safeway, Costco
  • Secure new distribution opportunities within the US Food and mass channels.
  • Oversee negotiations and secure alignment to business plans, including new distribution, pricing actions, promotions, and shelf positioning.

Team Building and Management:

  • Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing sales team, starting with a National Account Manager and a Sales & Operations Manager
  • Play an active role in the management team to define our portfolio and route to market strategy 

Operational Excellence:

  • Manage partners to ensure the delivery of sales objectives.
  • Analyze sales data to develop customer action plans and revenue forecasts.
  • Oversee the input and management of trade spending and deduction documentation.
  • Maintain and update product databases and sales tools in collaboration with the marketing team.

Hands-On Approach:

  • Be actively involved in day-to-day sales operations, not afraid to get hands dirty
  • Conduct sales meetings with key customers to secure buy-in and align on business plans.
  • Oversee trade calendars and planned activities to ensure timely and thorough execution.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 years of experience in retail sales in the CPG industry.
  • Proven experience in the US Food and mass market channels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive execution.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-up skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Passion for desserts and commitment to Petit Pot’s mission and values.
