Koch Fertilizer Enid, LLC is an entrepreneurial company looking for a self-motivated Project Engineer/Manager to be a part of the plant Project Engineering Team with specific focus on delivery of engineering objectives for new projects and process plant improvements.

You will manage all phases of the project process from project scope, design and development through construction and commissioning. This role offers the opportunity to grow within an organization and provides exposure to a variety of future career options.

This position works a 9/80 schedule and will include travel up to 10%

Koch Fertilizer, Enid is a leading nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing company that focuses on supplying various nitrogen fertilizer products to customers across North America.

What You Will Do

  • Work cross-functionally with groups to ensure all aspects of the project are properly considered, including safety, environmental, construction, operations, and reliability
  • Develop scopes of work, estimates and funding requests
  • Utilize economic decision making and marginal analysis to evaluate project alternatives, equipment vendors, design, and construction issues.
  • Organize and execute activities that will deliver projects as defined in the Scope of Work and Project Justification/Objectives. This includes design, construction/installation, commissioning, start-up, and documentation activities
  • Develop and manage Project Execution Plans and Schedules with diverse teams - e.g. Engineering, EH&S, Procurement, Vendors, Construction and Operations - to construct and start-up with Execution Excellence
  • Create and present project status reports (cost, schedule, etc.) for stakeholders and leadership

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field OR 7 years of experience working in a chemical plant, manufacturing or refinery environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand or kneel
  • Ability to utilize stairs and ladders
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 5 years of project management experience
  • Experience managing multiple small to medium capital projects
  • Experience in cost estimating, cost management and forecasting
  • Experience with HazOp, safety engineering, LOPA, PSM & process safety hazard analysis techniques
  • Project Scheduling Capability
  • Project Management Certification
