WMCC is a family-owned Childcare Center seeking a Daycare Assistant who is interested in caring for and teaching children to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has an interest in childcare from birth to age 5, are committed to learning foundational education in preparation for kindergarten, enjoy teaching and working with children with a hands-on approach, and be capable of providing a safe and nurturing environment. A passion for teaching and learning and strong communication skills. We pave the way for each child's lifelong learning journey ahead. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Responsible for engaging each child in a healthy, loving way, providing security and guidance.
2. Developing strong relationships with our families
3. Having a strong commitment to education
4. Must be able to meet timelines and manage multiple priorities.
5. Comprehensive knowledge of program development is highly recommended. .
6. Must be reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
7. Must have interpersonal skills, meet the parents, and work with other program staff.
8. Comply with state childcare licensing regulations
9. Projecting an upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
10. Demonstrating highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
11. Regularly communicate with center staff according to WMCC objectives.
12. Responsible for ensuring the safety of all enrolled children and families while participating in the WMCC programs.
13. Regular communication with parents/guardians
14. Maintains the confidentiality of program children, families, and staff.
15. Provides emergency care to children and families as appropriate.
16. Must attend required training sessions and meetings.
17. Other duties as assigned.
18. Must complete a TB risk assessment before working with children.
19. Must complete AHA CPR and First Aid Training within 30 days unless otherwise specified by the supervisor.
20. Participate in a Central Registry and criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
21. Wyoming Child and Family Development requires an initial health statement from a licensed healthcare provider and a health status annual assessment.
· QUALIFICATIONS:
· Recommending some experience working in a childcare setting.
· Minimum age requirement of 16
· Ability to work with a wide range of age groups and demographics and the ability to collaborate well with several groups and individuals

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must possess proper stress management techniques.
2. Must possess visual acuity and stamina to read technical material for extended periods of time.
3. Be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time without fatigue or discomfort.
4. Must be able to travel to site locations, meetings, and training.
5. Must be willing to drive in a variety of weather conditions.
6. Must be able to hear and process ordinary and telephone conversations.
7. Must communicate effectively with staff, children, families, and community.
8. Must have upper body strength to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
9. Must assist a child to safety in case of an emergency.
10. Must be able to work in a flexible daily routine and change as required.
11. Must be able to work in various temperatures, including hot and cold weather.
12. Be able to tolerate possible exposure to biohazards, i.e., body fluids, etc.
Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 – 5:30
Pay: Depends on experience and is estimated to begin at $10.00 per hour
