Job Title: Registered Dietitian (Part-Time)

Location: Fairfax, Virginia

Position Type: Part-Time (2 days per week, with potential to grow into a full-time role)

We are currently seeking an experienced and autonomous Registered Dietitian to join our team on a part-time basis.

Job Description: As a Registered Dietitian at Prima Medicine, you will play a crucial role in providing expert nutritional care and guidance to patients with a variety of complex health conditions. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing patients' dietary needs, developing individualized nutrition plans, and offering ongoing support to help patients manage their health. This role requires a high level of autonomy and expertise in managing complex cases, including Diabetes, Obesity, Hypertension, and Renal Disease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients with complex health conditions.
  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans and interventions.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on dietary management of chronic conditions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Handle billing and coding for dietitian-related services.

Requirements:

  • Registered Dietitian credential.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Registered Dietitian.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and manage complex cases.
  • Strong experience with Diabetes, Obesity, Hypertension, Renal Disease, and other chronic conditions.
  • Knowledge of billing and coding for dietitian-related services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Continued education and certifications in specialized areas of nutrition.
