We are currently searching for highly motivated, hardworking, entry-level Plumbing Apprentices/ Helpers to assist our staff Plumbers with basic plumbing installations and repairs. In this role, you will be supporting our qualified Plumbers with their daily tasks. You will learn to help perform basic plumbing services and our top performing Plumbing Helpers will have the opportunity to enroll into our Plumbing Training Academy!

To ensure success as a Plumbing Helper, you should have excellent physical fitness, a strong desire to learn, and knowledge of basic hand tools. Ultimately, a top-class Plumbing Helper reduces time to finish a job by handling smaller tasks and assisting with major repairs.

PLUMBER HELPER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Packing and sorting plumbing equipment for each job
• Locating pipe leaks and preparing the work area
• Fetching tools and organizing stock and equipment
• Cutting open walls and structures to expose pipes
• Installing garbage disposals
• Adjusting water pressure valves
• Assisting the Plumber with plumbing installations and repairs
• Replacing faucets and toilets
• Measuring, cutting, and threading pipes
• Installing sewer and drainpipes
• Installing water pipes, valves, and fittings

PLUMBER HELPER REQUIREMENTS

• Willing to invest in required tools of the trade
• Good physical fitness and dexterity
• Critical thinker with good problem-solving abilities
• Good listening and communication skills
• Ability to work after-hours as needed
• Basic mathematical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle high-stress situations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate
• Valid Driver’s License and must have clean driving record
• Must be able to pass drug screening
