Job Posting Title: Customer Business Manager, Inside Sales

JOB SUMMARY:

The Customer Business Manager, Inside Sales, is responsible for maintaining/growing current customer portfolio sales while identifying and prospecting new retail partners, making presentations and closing new sales relationships. This role thoroughly understands all product capabilities, features, and benefits for Golding’s Branded and Private Label portfolios. The Customer Business Manager, Inside Sales negotiates profitable pricing and determines products for new items and category expansions across all lines of business within Golding’s portfolio.


 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key retail accounts. This involves understanding the customer's business needs, negotiating terms and agreements, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Grow both branded and private label portfolio to achieve and exceed revenue targets through new and expanded distribution.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive account/territory plan to identify new opportunities and expand to new retailers.
  • Conduct detailed sales analysis to understand market trends, identify growth opportunities, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Forecast key customers, collaborating with retailer/broker partners to identify trends to develop accurate sales forecasts and ensure adequate supply.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products, features, benefits, and competitive advantages to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
  • Consult with customers on current and future projects, support the RFP process and manage follow-up activities.
  • Develop and execute promotional plans and trade marketing activities to drive product visibility, increase sales, and enhance brand awareness.
  • Working closely with internal cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, operations, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Use internal data and reporting to track sales performance against targets, analyzing sales data, and share with leadership. Identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive customer experience.


 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Private Brand experience is preferred
  • Analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a national accounts / sales role within the CPG, Food Industry, or Dairy sector.
  • Proficiency in sales analysis and ability to use data to inform strategic decision-making.
  •  Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customer accounts.
  •  Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present 
  •  Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  •  Willingness to travel as needed to meet with accounts and attend industry events.
