Axient is Hiring a Security Specialist Near Force, UT

Axient is seeking an experienced Security Specialist to join our team supporting the 719th Test Squadron at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. In this role, you will provide critical advice and assistance in Security Management, focusing on interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments. Your expertise will be key in planning and developing projects that address unique or controversial issues, significantly impacting organizational programs.
What You Will Do...
  • Security practices and be knowledgeable in applicable joint service and Air Force security standards and regulations.
  • Risk mitigation analysis to include defining risks, and identifying risk mitigation to future capabilities across facilities, personnel and documentation.
  • Prepare program access related documentation, transmittal and internal distribution of classified information.
  • The development and analysis of Project Management processes to be IAW DoD security regulations, policies and guidance.
  • Develop goals and objectives for security program to include, Information Security, Personnel Security and Industrial Security.
  • Manage Unit Industrial Security Program, coordinate Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access through Base Special Security Office (SSO), and assist in managing the Unit Security Education Program.
  • Prepare acquisition security related sections of acquisition program documentation including, but not limited to, Mission Needs Statements, Operational Requirements Documents, Project Management Documents, Program Objective Memorandums, RFPs, Acquisition Strategy Plans, Integrated Logistics Support Plans, and Cost and Operational Effectiveness Analyses.
  • Provide advice and assistance services by reviewing Contractor deliverables from a security perspective. The Contractor shall assist in the security evaluation of program information and hardware throughout the program life cycle including but not limited to studies, analyses, plans, procedures, production, test plans/results, transportation, technology, and storage of end items.
  • Develop System Security Management Plans, Program Protection Plans, Security Risk Analyses, Operational Security (OPSEC) Plans, Computer Certification and Accreditation, Security Vulnerability and Countermeasure Analyses, Security Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and other system security engineering-related documents.
  • Support requests for and assisting in the evaluation of Government generated security-related surveys, assessments, and studies, e.g., System Threat Assessment Reports, Multidiscipline Intelligence Threat Analysis, OPSEC surveys, Preliminary System Security Concept.
  • Prepare or present system security engineering management related reports and reviews.
  • Conduct audits of Government classified holdings to ensure proper accountability.
  • Escort duties for personnel without the proper security credentials, e.g., maintenance workers, visitors.
  • Coordinate secure conferences; security clearance processing, entry/exit control of personnel and equipment and material handling/processing.
  • Perform inspection, inventory, logging, storage, documentation, transmittal, and internal distribution of classified information received.
  • Be the focal point for transmitting classified; including packaging/labeling, local couriering, tracking and accountability as well as assisting personnel in proper transmission procedures.
  • Evaluate internal/external Government/Contractor classified data submittals for compliance with the appropriate System Security Classification Guide (SCG).
  • Perform security evaluation and protection to areas where classified information is being stored.
  • Safe/vault custodian functions and participate in end-of-day safety/security processes.
  • Update the Defense Information System for Security (DISS); Joint Access Database Environment (JADE); or other such databases.
  • Have an interest and background in assisting with cybersecurity related evaluations.
Skills You Will Need...
  • Top Secret clearance with an investigation current within 6 years.
  • Willing to complete a Pre-Screening Questionnaire (PSQ)
  • Bachelor Degree with 3 years of experience.
