Overview:
Coordinates all shipping activities to ensure loads are properly loaded, billed out; line sequenced, & scheduled to meet customer delivery requirements.
Responsibilities:
· Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality system.
· Identify and record any product, process and quality system problems.
· Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
· Verify the implementation of solutions.
· Control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming products until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected as defined by applicable procedures and/or by delegation of the Manager.
· Initiate to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality system.
· Identify and record any product, process, and quality system problems.

· Quality control techniques include operator process control, FMEA, and establishment of control plans for critical operations. Support must be provided to maintain ISO certification.
· Employee relations consist of preventive unionization and high-performance work team development and be responsible for the safety of all employees in the work environment.
· In addition, the position will ensure thorough familiarity with policies and procedures relating to standards of business conduct and train and motivate subordinates in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of such policies and procedures.
Requirements:
· Must be able to function effectively in a team environment and to effectively communicate with scheduling, material handling and manufacturing personnel.
· Must have a thorough understanding of axle component material process flow and initiative to analyze and coordinate it.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Flexibility to work overtime as needed
· Some experience in Line Setting and Sequencing
· Must be able to train and understand customer load specifications & dates
· Must be able to read and understand 866 report and the two-day report
· Knowledge of customer preferences of freight carriers
· Good understanding of customer demands
· Familiarity with bill of lading, packing list, and international shipping requirements
· Must comply with all Environmental Management System (EMS) policies and procedures
· Must be able to satisfactorily complete all Shipping position requirements, to include Yard Dog operations (or be able to be trained to standard on Yard Dog operations).
