Security Engineer

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Length: 6 Months/C2H

Responsibilities:

* Security Engineer will implement and manage security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption technologies, and endpoint protection

* Manage and lead projects

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential security risks

* Identifies security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications, and new technology initiatives; Monitor security alerts/logs and identify anomalous behavior or potential security incidents

* Maintain an understanding of industry best practices, emerging threats, and security technologies to ensure the organization stays current with security trends

* As a Security Engineer, you will continuously improve internal security controls to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, modification, and destruction

* Participate in security incident response plan, support detection and classification, define containment, remediation, and recovery strategies with the team

* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

* At least one industry standard certification such as Security , GSEC, GCIH, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other security vendor certification

* 5 years of experience in IT security engineering with a focus on implementing and managing security solutions in enterprise environments

* Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, and endpoint security solutions

* Knowledge of networking principles, cryptography, and secure architecture design

* Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and innovative work environment focused on driving excellence in IT security
