Financial Specialist, f/t. Objecutive, Inc., Fort Lee, NJ. Train clients in their boarding period to use our portfolio management system, FundStudio. Assist clients in their understanding of calculations performed for each of the distinct security instrument types (i.e., bonds, FX, equity, futures), and the calculations related to foreign currency in the system and its impact on profit and loss statement. Partner with developers in determining calculations of newly introduced security instrument types to incorporate calculations into the system. Assist clients from both a user interface and a database perspective via SQL in their use of the system. Create financial reports based on strategy or client preferences both through a proprietary tool report writer, a part of the FundStudio package, and through custom SQL queries using Microsoft SQL server. Analyze the flow of data from source data points through system calculations to assist clients in understanding financial reports and to assess if calculations are correctly reflecting the fund’s activities in FundStudio. Provide insight in FundStudio shadow accounting and asssit clients in understanding all line items and calculations. Track activities booked by clients and provide advice on ledger accounts used in FundStudio. Trade, position, cash reconciliation processing from sources such as prime broker or fund administrator against data in FundStudio system. Identify discrepancies and resolve issues to correct financial reporting provided by FundStudio to match prime broker or fund administrator. Present demos to potential clients.
Requirements: Minimum Bachelor's degree in economics, finance or accounting plus minimum 24 month experience as financial analyst, investment associate, or closely related occupation.
