Nilfisk is Hiring a Senior Accountant Near Fort Pierce, FL
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Aid in the financial direction and support to the Controller/finance team
- Assist in financial analysis to monitor spending in key areas (labor, scrap, raw materials, etc.)
- Ensure and enforce internal controls to confirm compliance with division policies and EuroSox
- Internal auditing, review of financial data
- Maintain building/car/forklift/office leases in the Planon platform (IFRS16)
- Sales tax support
- Prepare journal entries including monthly accruals.
- Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, and recommending changes.
- Provides training, guidance, and assistance to other Accounting support staff
- Banking and cash management activities.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles); office methods and procedures; statistical and mathematical presentation of data; advanced proficiency with current MS Office Applications, web browsers, and query tools.
- Assist in special projects, audits, or other assigned projects.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
EXPERIENCE:
5 years of experience in general accounting; proven experience as a Senior Accountant
KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Strong analytical background
- Detail oriented
- Working knowledge of accounting concepts, techniques, and principles.
- Ability to apply knowledge of accounting and financial analysis.
- Skills in analyzing and interpreting financial data.
- Must assume responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of work product.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Good auditing skills and techniques
- Must have a good willingness to learn and be a team player.
- Highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experienced using ERP software, MAS 100 a plus, Great Plains or other systems.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
- Must have the ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must have the ability to be multi-tasked.
- Strong technical skills.
- Strong knowledge of business processes and controls. (i.e. Sarbanes Oxley, Euro-Sox, etc.)
- Demonstration of working cross-functionally.
- ERP systems – Sage / Great Plains a plus
Total Base Pay Range:
$70,030.00 - $105,044.00
