Kitchen bath center is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Fort Walton Beach, FL

Kitchen & Bath Center is a Florida-based cabinet, granite, marble, glass, and flooring company, in business since 1987. We are seeking a full-time bookkeeper to manage and oversee full cycle accounting operations and to support Corporate A/R payment applications and A/P vendor bill payments. This position requires a candidate with 5-7 years bookkeeping experience with preferred proficiency using Sage 50. This individual will report to the Corporate Controller. 
Roles & Responsibilities
  • General Ledger: Ensuring accurate financial reporting and preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Accounts Receivable: Recording all income transactions, preparing customer invoices, receiving customer deposits and payments. Accurately posting customer payments in a timely manner. Daily reconciling of transactions between CRM system and Sage 50
  • Accounts Payable: Recording all expense transactions, recording vendor invoices and payments. Reconciling vendor accounts to A/P balances
  • Banking: Monthly bank reconciliation of all accounts (maintain and balance general ledger)
  • Communications: Work with operations and sales teams to ensure that all completed projects are timely reported
  • Tax: Sales and Use tax filings, monthly
  • Administrative: Filing and maintaining electronic historical records
  • Process sales orders - data entry work
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelors' degree in accounting or related business field
  • 5 years of experience in Bookkeeping position
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of Sage 50 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP Accounting
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • High level of accuracy and successful history of meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully multi-task
  • Critical & independent problem solving
