Job Title: EHS Coordinator

Purpose of Position/Summary:

The purpose of the EHS Coordinator is to perform duties directed by the Safety, Environmental and Metal Finishing Manager to include safety, health, and environmental components to meet stated KYB goals and objectives and defined key performance indicators (KPI’s).

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and complete Safety Audits, Environmental Audits, Risk Assessments and Safety in Action programs;
• Assist with documentation of the contractor management program;
• Coordinates safety countermeasure implementation and completion;
• Assist with safety and environmental training;
• Provide ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 support, transition, and maintenance of the new standards;
• Completes daily, weekly, and monthly activities related to safety and environmental requirements;
• Other duties assigned by the Safety, Environmental and Metal Finishing Manager on an as needed basis.

Job Requirements:

This position requires a high school diploma or GED from an accredited organization. Manufacturing experience is preferred along with skills related to understanding and ensuring safe working conditions and behaviors. Computer skills are a must with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Power Point and Excel. Knowledge of safety policies and regulations is preferred, (knowledge can be learned through on-the-job training). Abilities should be focused on sound written and verbal communication skills to include developing and conducting safety and environmental related training, and the ability to perform well under pressure and work with others.
