The Adirondack Club, a leading health and fitness destination in the Metro West area has a rare opportunity for the right candidate. We are seeking qualified candidates for the Sr. leadership role of Fitness Director. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading a team of highly motivated trainers, be able to demonstrate the ability to meet revenue and growth targets through effective lead generation and management, be a successful trainer with demonstrable success and have a keen understanding of both adult small group training and youth sports performance.
The Adirondack Club’s training team of twenty skilled professionals delivers the area’s very best training experience in the largest, state of the art facility in our market. The team delivers this remarkable experience in more than 20,000 sq’ of private, dedicated training space consisting of the very best equipment set on turf and rubber surfaces.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Management and the continued development of more than 20 highly skilled and motivated trainers.
2. Oversee all department marketing initiatives via direct email marketing, social media, and traditional channels.
3. As a member of the Sr. Leadership team, work directly with ownership on overall strategy and direction of both the department specifically and our core businesses.
4. Regular interaction with current and prospective training clients through regular publication of newsletters, emails, and lead magnets.
5. Continually monitor the product offerings and marketing initiatives of all direct competitors and the trends shaping our industry from all relevant sources.
6. Be a regular source of new initiatives and ideas while fostering an environment of team collaboration and creativity.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A passion for helping people become stronger, healthier, and happier.
2. A four-year degree in exercise science or a related field and a training certificate from a nationally recognized certifying organization.
3. A minimum 5 years of management experience including direct management of a team, preferably a team of trainers.
4. A proven track record of developing and sustaining training clients through their own practice.
5. A willingness to join an industry leading coaches’ group.
