POWER Engineers is Hiring a Project Manager Near Freeport, ME

POWER Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager to join the Power Delivery Program Management department in the Northern California/Northwest region. While the position is remote, an ideal candidate is in the Pacific Standard Time zone. This position will concentrate on the management of Distribution projects.
Disclaimer: The candidate selected for this position may work remotely full-time at a location other than a POWER-designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.
Roles And Responsibilities
  • Lead the project planning process including initiation, design, engineering, material procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out
  • Manage project implementation including project schedule, project budget, and the project resources including external vendors and contractors
  • Serve as the primary project authority for assigned project personnel on major project-related issues
  • Direct project team and lead the project management process
  • Responsible for metrics tracking, associated reporting to stakeholders, and compliance with regulatory, corporate, and department procedures during all the phases of the project
Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and industry-related experience from an accredited university required – engineering, engineering management, or construction management discipline preferred
  • Experience five (5) years of professional experience in the construction, electric power, and communications industry
  • Five (5) years relevant project management experience
  • Relevant experience includes large-scale project management, and/or project lead engineering experience on large/complex projects
  • Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting
Desired Education/Experience
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Five (5) years of project management experience
  • Experience in project management controls area

DOE Salary: The pay range for this position is $100,000 annually; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
