Job TitleSenior Network Engineer
What does a successful Senior Network Engineer do at Fiserv?You will have the opportunity to join an experienced team responsible for designing, developing, and deploying a wide variety of network services and technologies for numerous clients and business units across the enterprise.
What You Will Do
- Design and deploy optimal networking and connectivity solutions that enable clients and business units to achieve their operational and business goals
- Collaborate with telecom providers, equipment suppliers, and 3rd party network vendors to engage their technical resources to perform tasks
- Analyze and interpret traffic and utilization of services on network connections
- Participate in disaster recovery exercises, pre-production certification testing, and troubleshooting events
- Coordinate internal operations to meet and exceed data communication project expectations, including but not limited to engineering/development, certification testing, network and IT operations, capacity planning and production readiness
- Manage partner/client expectations for data communications connectivity and related services to Fiserv products and applications, throughout project lifecycle
- Perform off-hours/on-call work as needed
- 8 years of experience in design, planning, coordination, and implementation of technology projects among multiple telecom and equipment vendors and customers
- 8 years of hands-on experience with data center technologies, layer-2 and layer-3 protocols (LAN/WAN, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, spanning-tree, HSRP, and EIGRP)
- 5 years of hands-on experience configuring Cisco IOS
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus equipment and OS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
- Experience with VRF, NAT/PAT
- Experience with load balancer configurations (ACE, Netscaler, Foundry, F5)
- Experience with firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, PIX, Checkpoint)
- Industry certifications a plus (CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE)
