MedMasa is Hiring a Registered Nurse RN ER Near Gallup, NM
We are seeking highly organized and compassionate ER nurses to join our team at the Gallup Indian Medical Center (GIMC) in Gallup, New Mexico. In this critical role, you will be the first line of defense in responding to patient injuries, trauma, or allergic reactions. You will work in a fast-paced environment where your ability to remain calm under pressure, make sound decisions, and provide high-quality care is paramount.
Pay Rate: $55 - $57/ hour $29.05/ hour Stipends
Contract Length: 6 months with an option to extend for 1 more year
Location: Gallup Indian Medical Center (GIMC), Gallup, New Mexico
Responsibilities:
- Emergency Response, be prepared to respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies, assessing patient needs swiftly and accurately.
- Treat critical injuries, allergic reactions, and trauma, perform minor medical operations, clean wounds, and draw blood.
- Maintain high standards of care in the emergency room, ensuring all protocols and procedures are followed.
- Assist with insurance paperwork and ensure the efficiency of the patient check-in process.
- Display strong decision-making skills in emergency scenarios, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Work closely with doctors and other medical staff to provide comprehensive emergency care.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) preferred
- Ability to work under high-pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- 2 years of previous experience in emergency care or a similar high-pressure environment.
