Job Title: Hydraulic Press Operator
Department: Press Room
Reports to: Press Room Supervisor
Summary
Dixline Corporation is hiring a Hydraulic press operator at our Galva Il. location. The primary roles
of the operator is to operate specified machines. This role may also be responsible for moving
material with forklift and assisting in setting up machines. We are looking for candidates who are
self-started with a strong work ethic. The individual will work in an environment that requires a
high degree of accuracy, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to run the basic machinery in the Dixline press room.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To include but not limited to:
Operate machinery in the press room in a safe manner.
Perform minor adjustments on machinery to assure a quality part is being made.
Troubleshoot equipment to determine problems that may arise.
Inspect finished parts for defects and proper fitment.
Properly fill out production reports.
Desired Skills
Ability to conduct basic troubleshooting of the equipment to determine problems that may arise.
Must have good hand-eye coordination.
Must be able to read, follow detailed instructions.
Must be able to distinguish between part numbers and sizes.
Must be able to count and label parts accurately.
Must understand quality policy and procedures-detect defects.
Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
Must be able to read work orders.
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
Hydraulic Press operation: 1 year (Preferred)
Machine operation: 1 year (Preferred)
Training will be supplied to qualified individuals.
English Language Skills
Must be able to speak clearly, read and interpret company orders.
Math Skills
Basic mathematical skills are required. The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers and decimals.
Reasoning ability
Ability to recognize and deal with problems involving several variables.
Physical Demands
Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to stand 10 hours a day.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
