Role SummaryAs a Facilities Support Technician, you will maintain all housekeeping responsibilities for the facility's sanitation and cleanliness. In this position, you must possess a motivated, team-player attitude, a positive demeanor, and excellent communication skills. You should be able to function well in a multitasking environment and pay close attention to details. You must also be able to work with individuals at all levels within the organization, including fellow employees, customers, and management.
Schedules: Wednesday - Saturday; 7am - 5:30pm & Sunday - Wednesday; 12:00pm - 10:30pm.
Role Responsibilities
- Partner with the operations team and housekeeping to maintain the facility's sanitation and cleanliness.
- Sweep and clean all stairs, walkways, signage, and common areas. As needed, utilize a floor sweeper and scrubber.
- Wipe down all handrails, cabinets, and ledges.
- Maintain trash cans, paper towel dispensers, soap dispensers, and hand sanitizers.
- Ensure that all employee areas, including timeclocks and lockers, are regularly cleaned and well-maintained.
- Partner with housekeeping contractor regarding canteen, office, and restroom cleanliness.
- Assist the Maintenance Department with scheduled shutdowns.
- Be willing to accept new and diverse assignments that are requested by the Supervisor.
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school degree or GED is preferred
- Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
- Maintain acceptable attendance and must be able to work overtime as required
- Stand and walk throughout a shift
- Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods
- Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds
- Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. pallet jack, box cutter, carts) which requires coordinated movements.
