Simpson Judge have partnered with a leading Insurance Defense firm, who due to increased work demands are on the lookout for an ambitious Attorney to join their Medical Malpractice department.

The firm are seeking a seasoned Attorney, with at least 3 years experience within Medical Malpractice litigation to join their team based in Manhattan and add to the firms successes.

Within the role you will be responsible for a mixed complexity caseload of medical malpractice cases, from inception through to resolution. The role will be challenging yet highly rewarding, providing exposure to high-value, high-quality cases whilst working within a team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a mixed complexity caseload of Medical Malpractice Defense cases
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery demands
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Interview witnesses
• Prepare cases for trial as necessary and attend Court as required
• Conduct mediations and settlement negotiations

Qualifications:

• Admitted to practice in New York
• 3 Yrs experience within Medical Malpractice Defense
• J.D. obtained from an ABA accredited School of Law
• Ability to independently manage all phases of the litigation process
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills
• Strong organisation and time management
• Detail orientated with strong analytical skills
