We have been in business since 1991 were we started off as a small company supplying local vendors in Jacksonville, Florida but now have growth to supply both local vendor and national wide retail pet stores.

We are looking for a Warehouse Driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.

Driver must have open availability and able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drop-off the load of livestock at the airport/FedEx/UPS.
• Pick up the shipments from the airlines in a timely manner.
• Unload and load shipments.
• Task also include picking up other products from vendors for the company.
• While waiting for the drop-off, driver is required to help around the warehouse will small tasks.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills

• Experience as a warehouse driver
• Ability to drive and work long hours
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Valid driving license

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.78 per hour
