Join Budlong, a leader in consulting, engineering! We're seeking an experienced Plumbing Engineer /Designer to join our Glendale, CA office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work on various projects, providing plumbing design for small to large-scale ventures.
• Represent the Firm in client, contractor, architect, and project team interactions.
• Prepare calculations, reports, and specifications.
• Perform fire suppression system selection, preliminary designs, and create performance specifications.
• Advise on existing facility diligence, sustainability analyses, and feasibility reports.
• Create drawings according to client requirements and standards.
• Provide engineering support for senior staff.

Job Requirements:

• Seeking a Plumbing Design Engineer with experience in Commercial, Institutional, residential, mix-used, hospitality Design.
• Knowledgeable in systems design for diverse projects, with the ability to convey concepts via sketches and renderings.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; significant experience considered.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant Plumbing Design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD-MEP and REVIT.
• Familiarity with fire suppression systems and relevant applications through training and project experience.
• Understanding of Mechanical/Plumbing trades, building codes, and drawings/documents.
• Detailed equipment knowledge and the ability to make independent selections.
• Competence in fire suppression hydraulic calculations, estimating construction costs, and evaluating feasibility.
• Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) Certification is highly preferred.
