IFG Chicago is Hiring an Accountant Near Glenview, IL
We have a Contract-To-Hire accounting opportunity in the NW suburbs with a really interesting manufacturing company that works with really fun CGP clients (electronics, trading cards, cosmetics, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.
- Evaluate the financial statements and reports for accuracy and identify problem areas and suggest methods of correction.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports
- Perform monthly closing activities including excel reports and packages.
- Perform GL account analysis and journal entries
- Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts for the company.
- Maintain fixed asset log with depreciation and lapsing schedules for both book and tax.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 1 - 2 years accounting experience with an emphasis on a manufacturing environment
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Extra Information:
- Contract-to-hire preferred
- 5 days week onsite
- Salary once converted $75-90K
