Amotec is currently supporting a search for an Accountant. Located in Glenwood, IA, our client is a small family-owned company. As an Accountant, you will oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, payroll administration, procurement, financial planning, and cash/credit management. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is willing to wear multiple hats.
Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review company financial records.
- Process payroll and manage payroll tax submissions.
- Monitor financial reports to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for payroll taxes, sales tax, fuel tax, and fuel inventories.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable; maintain the general ledger.
- Compile and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements.
Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Google Docs, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a small, team-oriented environment.
