This Cook position works flexible, part-time hours in a fun and friendly work environment.
DEPARTMENT : Golf
JOB SUMMARY : Position responsible for providing food and beverage preparation service in the Bar and Grill. This position works approximately 25 hours per week, not to exceed 28 hours per week. Work in a relaxed, fun and friendly kitchen using your creativity to make our customers happy.
SAFETY : Employee responsible for adhering to all safety procedures and regulations established by the Department, the City and all State and Federal organizations. Any safety concern should be reported to a supervisor immediately.
MAJOR DUTIES
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS : The supervisor assigns work with instructions that are clear and specific. The supervisor reviews most of the completed work.
GUIDELINES : Guidelines include the Health Analysis Critical Control Points (HAACP) system, DHEC Regulations, the plan of the day, City and departmental polices and procedures. These guidelines are generally clear but may require some interpretation.
COMPLEXITY : The work consists of related duties connected to preparing food and providing beverage service to the customers. Position can become complex when handling numerous orders at the same time.
SCOPE AND EFFECT : The purpose of this position is to perform quality service while preparing food and beverage for the customers. Successful work results in the City providing customers with an experience that keeps the customers coming back, which makes the club a success for the City.
PERSONAL CONTACTS : Contacts are typically with co-workers, vendors, members and golfers.
PURPOSE OF CONTACTS : Contacts are typically to give or exchange information and provide services.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The work is typically performed while intermittently standing or walking. The employee occasionally lifts heavy and light objects.
WORK ENVIRONMENT : The work is typically performed indoors with exposure to hazards associated with cooking.
SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY : None.
