Overview of the Staff Accountant role:
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Payroll reconciliation
- Review AP and confirm payments
- Execute monthly journal entries and close accounting periods
- Prepare month-end journal entries for financial statements
Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
- Minimum four years of experience in a similar role if not degreed
- Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with a major accounting system
- Strong attention to detail
