Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and be familiar with shipping and receiving processes. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely shipment of products, as well as receiving and inspecting incoming shipments.
Duties:
- Hours 8 am to 4:30 pm 30 minute Lunch.
Excellent computer skills for entering shipping information. Must be able to have Fedex, UPS, and Multiple Freight company experience. Understand importance of correct weight and labeling for sending out pallets.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing, labeling, and arranging for transportation
- Utilize AS400 system to track inventory and update shipment records
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers, Forklift
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to resolve any discrepancies or issues with shipments
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular cycle counts
Experience:
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations preferred
- Familiarity with AS400 system is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately
- Experience with order picking and using pallet jacks is desired
- Knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment processes is beneficial
- Understanding of distribution center operations is a plus
