Job Overview:
Join our team as a Medical Records Director, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining resident medical records and health information systems in accordance with current federal and state guidelines as well as in accordance with our facility's established privacy policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain patient medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of all medical records
- Organize and file paper documents and electronic records systematically
- Retrieve patient records for healthcare providers as needed
- Input and update patient information into electronic health record systems
- Assist with coding and indexing medical records for billing purposes
- Respond to requests for medical records from authorized personnel
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical office environment preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and record-keeping systems is advantageous
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record software is a plus
- Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology (IDT-10)
