Maintenance Assistant

Pay: $17-$19 (DOE)

Location: Grapevine

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM-4:30 PM

Position Overview: They will repair and maintain a variety of production equipment.

Position Description:

• Repair and maintain a variety of production equipment including pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical machinery.
• Conduct daily/weekly/ monthly inspections and service electric and electronic controls, circuits, and panels.
• Bend and install conduit, pull and terminate wires, and check and clean motors, relays, and contacts.
• Disassemble, select repair procedures, and repair or replace worn or defective parts using hand tools, hand power tools, and simple machine tools.
• Perform welding operations and assist in moving equipment.
• Maintain preventative maintenance records and schedules on all machinery and equipment, including oiling and greasing of machinery.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records on all equipment.
• Actively promote and maintain a safe work environment.
• Comply with all Company policies.
• Notify the supervisor (or lead person) immediately of problems, or concerns.
• Keep the work area clean and free of hazards.
• Follow special job instructions as communicated by the Maintenance Lead or managers.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or Maintenance Lead.

Position Requirements:

• Must have basic knowledge of industrial maintenance and be willing to learn the ins and outs of machinery.
• Must have own set of hand tools Knowledge of metal stamping/fabrication equipment
• Knowledge of plumbing, piping, and electricity
• High level of mechanical aptitude
• Experience performing all maintenance on/around the building
• Able to read English as required for interpreting manuals and prints; and to speak and understand English to communicate effectively with co-workers in the work environment
• Safety and quality-minded, self-motivated, takes initiative
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.
