BrightStar Care is looking for several Caregivers in the Downriver area to look after a high acuity patient who needs 24 / 7 home and nursing care.
There will also be a nurse assigned to this client as well (a two person team).

Responsibilities :
- Assist with all of client’s ADLs
- Prepare meals for client (must be a reasonably good cook)
- Must be comfortable driving a modified wheelchair accessible van as client likes to go out places.
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
Requirements :
- Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility preferred.
- Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills
- Licensed driver with proof of automobile insurance
- Ability to work on weekends, nights, and holidays
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must know how to safely operate a hoyer lift.
